Chinese steel imports and exports up M-o-M

According to the data compiled by China's customs, Chinese steel product exports totaled 4.2 million t in November, increasing by 0.38 million t month over month and by 44.33% year over year. At the same time, Chinese overall steel product exports came to 45.16 million t in January- November of this year, up 13.8% year on year.

On the other hand, China also imported 1.23 million t of the steel products in November, rising by 30 thousand t month over month while still down 10.87% year over year. Besides, in January- November of this year, Chinese overall steel product imports amounted to 14.39 million t, down 4.2% year over year.

Besides China also imported 0.11 million t of the billet in November and the overall billet imports amounted to 0.59 million t in January- November of this year, up 4.4% compared to the same period of last year and there were still no billet exports in November.

While Chinese coke exports came to 90 thousand t in November, declining by 10 thousand t month over month and the year-to-date coke exports stood at 3.2 million t, swelling by 6.6% year over year.

In addition, China also imported 64.20 million t of the iron ore in November, surging by 14.26 million t month over month and by 11.89% year over year. Meanwhile from January to November of this year, Chinese aggregate iron ore imports totaled 622.01 million t, up 11.0% year over year.
